You've been watching and listening to many people talking about surgeries and heart transplant but here doctors successfully transplant human head in operation theater in China. (Science-fiction yeah?)
The world first human head transplant, this sounds very horrific and awesome too because its not only the success but the great discovery by the doctors for achieving the mile-stone of transplanting human head.
The time spent on surgery took around 18 hours to complete, which shows the great excellence of surgeons, so, it is now proven that human head can be transplanted by reconnecting the spine, nerves and blood vessels.
The overall experiment was carried out by a team at Harbin Medical University led by Dr. Xiaoping Ren, as he is expert in certain successful surgeries world-wide.
Italian professor Sergio Canavero, the director of the Turin Advanced Neuro-modulation Group, announced the great success of entire team, he realised that "This is human first head transplant".
At the public conference to press Vienna
Prof. Canavero, said:
