Scientists have obtained the first image of a black hole, using Event Horizon Telescope observations of the center of the galaxy M87. The supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy is named "Sagittarius A*", the center of the galaxy M87.
It is impossible to capture an image of a black hole from closer, the closer objects gets to it, the black hole gravitational force pulls it in.
